This is a beautiful monument and rather unexpected for its location. There is plenty of information available to read about President Harding and his wife. You can go up the steps and look through the fence into the grassy area where the graves lay. I was surprised to see the trees growing inside. It was like a garden inside a memorial.

The Harding Memorial is a very tastefully done tribute to President Harding. We visited the Memorial prior to attending a family reunion in the Marion, OH area.

This was a nice memorial to Warren and Florence Harding and where they are buried. Relatively unassuming site right off an intersection. You will see it easily. Compared to Garfield and McKinleys’ tombs in state it is dwarfed, but nevertheless it is nice.Aug 2017 visit

This memorial , gravesite, is on the main road into town. Good parking on site. Easy walking distance. Nicely laid out. Good overall access. Worth visiting just to see how a grave site can be laid out to draw visitors in.

Came across this memorial in passing and had to stop and see what it was given its beauty. Interestingly this memorial is like its own little park seemingly in the middle of a cemetery. That said, it is a beautiful structure dedicated to President Harding.

Warren G. Harding, the 29th president, grew up in Marion and was editor of the daily Marion Star newspaper before a long and successful political career culminating in the White House. Among other things, he was the first president to visit Alaska. Unfortunately he died in office of a massive heart attack on the return trip and his presidency is mostly remembered for the Teapot Dome scandal. There is no controversy about his final resting place, which was dedicated by president Herbert Hoover who served in Harding's cabinet. The memorial is open in the center with the graves of President and Mrs Harding visible, in accordance with Harding's wish to be buried near a tree under the open sky. Kids love climbing around the steps which make up the platform for the circle of marble columns. The grounds are beautiful and accessible, but the 14 steps are not. Even able bodied people should be careful in the rain as the marble steps can get slick and there is only a hand rail on one side. The grounds are an inviting place for a picnic but you will need to bring a blanket as there are no tables. The Harding home is not far away and the mauseleum where the president rested until the monument was constructed is in the Marion cemetery on the north side of the street from the monument.

This thing is MASSIVE and designed very well! I have been going around to see the resting sites of former US Presidents and so far this is one of the coolest I have seen.

Warren G. Harding and wife Florence Kling Harding at buried in this beautiful tribute to the President. Locals recall the monumental effort to amass the necessary funds to pay for the memorial. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, adults in every home saved their pennies so that Marion could show their respect for their beloved President. Sorry Kids, Laddie Boy, their Airedale Hound, is not buried with them.

The Memorial is open during daylight hours. For the house, it varies, I'd recommend googling it.
