This is a cemetery for Confederate prisoners of war. It is a solemn place with a statue of a confederate soldier looking to the water. This is on a small island and there is a $2 toll to get on the island.

A little hard to find and you must pay a toll to get on the island, but totally worth it! Beautiful cemetery and memorial site. The kids could even see Cedar point!

There is a $2 toll to cross the bridge and the machine only takes $1 bills so be sure to have cash handy. It was a really interesting little historical site, glad we stopped.

This is a small memorial & cemetery. It is a pretty drive to the island, and a sad but interesting walk around. Nicely maintained & groomed.

Interesting historical site for those interested in the Civil War. Didn't realize the North had Confederate pow camps in the area.

We visited the site by boat. It is remarkable it is still well maintained. It is between two homes on Johnson Island sand I am sure the ghosts are enjoying the beautiful view.

It costs $2.00 cash (only) to drive across the causway. The machine that lets you onto the island will only take dollar bills so be sure to take a few dollars with you.

I did not see anything posted but there is a fence. I am sure daylight hours only because of people messing with graves on such a somber place.
