The mansion is beautifully decorated for the season. It is a beautiful home with just the period furniture but this is exceptional. The knowledgeable docents did an excellent job of explaining the history and architecture as well as this effort that went into this special exhibit. It has been extended another weekend. It takes about an hour and maybe an... More

Very nice tour from local women who definitely have a passion for local history. Very well-preserved and the furnishings are period. Decorated for the holiday - added benefit!

When in the vicinity of Lebanon, Ohio during December, a visit to the Glendower Historic Mansion, 105 Cincinnati Ave., is well worth the time. Situated on a hill overlooking Lebanon, this Greek revival mansion was built in 1845 and is beautifully decked out for the Christmas season. Each room is done in a different color and has a specific theme.... More

Glendower defines the stately elegance of the 1845 era. Docents in hoop skirts are knowledgeable and welcoming. The Glendower is named after a Welsh hero, Prince Owen Glendower. We re-visit the Glendower for occasional concerts on the expansive lawn and for the Civil War Campout, where re-enactors come for a weekend to tell good stories and fire their cannon. Christmas... This is not a boring site with the same ole things, this is a beautiful home with lots of period antiques with lots of history and stories! We had a guide who was a young woman who knew what she was talking about. Very informative and entertaining. This was a place that we could have spent longer, but the time... More

If you like history this place is great. The docent was knowledgable and friendly. This home has been restored and decorated very well. Being a local I found the history interesting, but even if your not a local the tour would be enjoyable.

Glendower is open only on select days during the year and most weekends in December. They have the house nicely done for Christmas. The tour guides are in period dress and they give a very detailed tour of the house. They take only cash but the cost is only $8/person. The tour is wonderful, and there were other visitors in...
