Sad day...
May 2020 • Family
So, up until a couple of weeks ago, I would've given this place a 5-star rating all day long. I grew up going here and have taken my own family here several times now. Been going here for at least 30 years. All of the sudden now, they are charging their customers money to bring THEIR OWN FOOD. This has been allowed forever, but now you have to pay money to do so. I respectfully voiced my opinion on a Facebook post of theirs once they announced it, and was almost instantly banned from commenting on any of their posts. It is a shame, but we will not be returning.

A REAL, ACTUAL drive-in movie theater!
Aug 2019
Built in 1948, "The Skyview", as the locals call it, is an actual, functioning drive-in theater. There are less than 400 of these drive-ins left in the United States. The
owners have maintained the traditions of the original drive-ins, including the central
concession stand serving up hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, and, of course, popcorn. I
have to laugh every time they show those hilarious old commercials at intermission
with the dancing, singing box of popcorn, sandwiches, and beverages inviting us to go
to the snack bar. This drive-in has an 80-foot screen, and visitors have a choice of
dialing up FM stereo or using the old metal car speakers from the 1940’s that hook
onto your car window. On warm summer nights, some people spread out blankets on
the ground in front of the screen. And don't forget as you enter the movie lot to "Please Dim Lights, Speed Limit 5 mph". For those of us who remember going with
our dates to the drive-in, a visit here is a real dose of nostalgia. If you are travelling
with kids, this is a rare opportunity to show them in person what a real movie drive-in was like. It's a real treat for everybody, young or old. Don't miss this chance to visit this drive-in theater before they all go extinct!

Aug 2019 • Family
What a nice evening. We brought out grand kids to show them the outdoor drive-in thing, Had a great time . The place is clean and well kept. The screen is bright and very clear picture. Have been coming here for years. I hope they are always open not very many drive-ins left.

This was such an awesome experience. I came here with my boyfriend and we both loved it. Before we even left we said we wanted to come back again. It felt like we were transported to a different time period

Old speakers
May 2018 • Family
We went on Memorial Friday and we were under whelmed by the speakers from the 70's. The bathroom stalls were in desperate need of an update too, only 2!

This Drive-in is alive and well.
Jun 2017 • Couples
The Drive-in theater is a classic experience. Lancaster, Ohio has one of the best. The projection equipment has been updated, so this drive-in should be around for a long time. The snack bar is quite satisfactory. This is a wonderful place to take the kids or a date. The movies are typically family oriented and well chosen so adults can have a good time as well.

We love this place
Jul 2017 • Family
Be in line well before they open to get a prime spot. Front spots are great to set your lawn chairs up on. This is a great, affordable break from the norm. Don't expect to sit in the back of your SUV unless you tie down the hatch. The owners will drive around and give you cord if you forget yours. They do a good job of making sure people follow the rules by checking the amount of tickets you purchased to ensure you didn't sneak people in. This is great as it helps on over crowding. Snacks are good. We usually bring our own drinks and candy and order a sandwich for the first movie and popcorn for the second.

Summer staple in Lancaster
Aug 2016 • Couples
Drive-in movie theaters are disappearing across the nation, but Skyview is going strong. Showing current movies (usually 2 per night), the theater draws in crowds of both kids and adults. The theater fills quickly on the weekends, so expect to get in line around 5-6pm (gates open around 7:30pm usually). I like to take a truck and sit in the bed, but a car is also comfortable since they have color-coded posts by height restrictions. The concession stand is a small building that quickly gets cramped; they offer the usual fried foods, popcorn, and pop. You can bring your own food to reduce costs, but not ordered-in pizza, since they were having issues with people leaving their empty boxes (clean up after yourself!). This is a kid-friendly experience, but be sure they don't run through the parking lot since cars are coming and going.
