Fascinating tour. Great glass collection and history. We did not go on tour of factory as running out of time.

Lancaster is a typical quaint small town in Ohio. The people are friendly too. The glass museum gives people the opportunity to do glass blowing with the help of a talented artisan. This ensures that your work of art is something you can be proud to display. I went with a friend and we each made an ornament. For under $30.00... More

There is a resident glass blower who sets up and let's people gather to watch. It is a fascinating process. There are many glass items on exhibit.

My wife and I had been here once before, about 2-3 years ago. Having grown up in Lancaster, this little museum reflects a lot of nice artifacts from the glass industry. The ladies working the shop were very nice and courteous and informative. Did buy some neat glassware too! Thank you for being there.

Be sure to stop here...lovely glass displays, though much smaller than I would have imagined, given the rich history of glass making in the area! The gift shop is a treat....hand blown glass objects at reasonable prices and Anchor Hocking overruns......welll worth a stop

My wife and I needed to burn and hour or two before our flight. We stopped by the Ohio Glass Museum. The tour was educational and the glass blowing exhibition was very interesting. We had a fun time with the tour guide. This was a tour that my wife and I talk about.

Lancaster is one of the cities of Southeast Ohio where glass was king. Home of Anchor Hocking, Lancaster has always had a tie to the glass-making industry. The Ohio Glass Museum sits on Main Street, about 1 block from the center of the city, and provides demonstrations, exhibitions, and valuable glass examples for collectors. It is our own local version... More

We visited the glass museum & as a nurse, I really appreciated all the medical type exhibits. We watched the artist blow glass into an ornament. She was very good at explaining what she was doing as she did it, then opened up for questions from the audience. Fun visit. They also let you take classes to learn how to... More

While small by comparison well worth the visit. They have ever changing exhibits about glass, how it's made and its uses. There is a glass-blowing demonstration towards the back of the museum. Would be an interesting visit for kids or anyone interested in glass blowing. Small and wouldn't take more than an hour or two to visit.

I took a glass blowing class and blew a glass heart shaped paper weight for Valentine's day. My husband took the glass with me and we picked up our "hearts" a couple days latter after they had come out of the oven and cooled.
