Hadn’t visited Lakeside for many years. Had heard there were many new large homes on the grounds and was anticipating ostentatious eyesores. Apparently a zoning assoc. or similar entity has assured that new structures and remodels must abide by a guideline to maintain the congruity...More

The downside to our trip was it was super hot and for the afternoon stay we had trouble catching a golf cart shuttle. If they didn't see you standing right at a shuttle stop they had blinders on and didn't notice us trying to way...More

It is a lovely old hotel with all old furnishings in a great location. It should still be clean. There were many noticeable cobwebs by the elevator. I stepped on a piece of a necklace and could see the dirt on the floor - pretty...More

It's like stepping back in time. Escape the modern day obsession with technology and get back to the days of riding bikes and fellowship! Wonderful family vacation!

This city costs $7.75 for adults for 3 Hours. The city is cute but not many shops. The mini golf is fun.

Ok, most of the reviews are either 5 stars or 1 star so I thought I would give my middle of the road opinion with pros and cons. Pros: It's peaceful. It's quiet. Kids are free to roam about the gated community and it is...More

There is so much to do, and yet it is also as restful and relaxing as you choose. The atmosphere within this vacation community is safe, fun, and very relaxing. This was my second time visiting friends while they were vacationing here. The history is...More

If you want to camp on the water I would go to East Harbor State Park. It is close to Lakeside and camping is on the water.

Yes it is dog friendly, but if you're looking to stay within Lakeside, it can be difficult to find a place that is pet friendly. But as far as walking around and hanging out, you're definitely good to go!
