Our daughter lives in Toledo and as many times as we have visited her, we have not taken the time to make the drive (about 2 1/2 hours) to visit these amazing early LDS Church history sites. In spite of it being the middle of...More

We spent a beautiful December morning touring the Historic Kirtland Annual Nativity Exhibit. There were slightly over 1000 diverse depictions of the Christmas Nativity from around the world. They ranged from tiny, the size of a nutshell, to massive. They were crafted in every media...More

The original town of Kirtland reveals the industry and commitment of early settlers in the US. One of the first buildings built was the saw mill so that they could cut lumber from the trees to build other buildings. The saw mill is run by...More

Our kids were tired so we requested a shortened customized tour. The staff was very accommodating and tailored things to meet our needs perfectly. So glad we went.

See the original home and community of the Mormons. It has the original general store and farmhouse, and the only known existing Ashery in the US! The tour is guided by 'sisters' usually after watching a film, but I opted out of the film due...More

We just wanted to see the buildings and history of the place, but if you are not Mormon don't go. The guides are nice, but want to preach their religion to you.

Being LDS my family and I were very excited to see these places. Being 85% Original we were able to walk ourselves back in time. The missionaries are the ones who give the tours. They are kind but not scholars. Thankfully I read several books...More
