I've been to the Cox Arboretum many times over the years. Each time there were new things to explore. This trip was in December when all the plants and trees were asleep, but it was still a lovely experience and I stocked up on Christmas presents by buying leaf bowls that the volunteers had made... which were VERY reasonably priced.

Been here twice in evening hours. It's a beautiful park with few walking trails. The trails are short and worth going.

Many walking paths and floral displays. It's a great place to take in the beauty of nature. Spring and summer are the best times to visit

This is a beautiful place to visit if you want to hike the trails or just sit and watch the turtles and smell the flowers. There are three trails all three miles or less that are well marked and nicely made. The flower gardens are amazing and there are blooms almost all spring through fall. It has places to sit... More

This park has beautiful facilities for gatherings, and the main building was closed due to an event during our visit. However, the walking paths throughout the arboretum were still accessible. The Butterfly House was all but empty at this time of the year, and an intriguing spiraling tower was closed for maintenance. But there were many areas that were perfect... More

Great place for photo ops; family trips; nature lovers. We take the grandchildren all the time. The butterfly house is informative; they love all the turtles and fish in the ponds; the tower AND the maze.

We were pleasantly surprised by Cox Arboretum while looking for some photo spots for my daughter's senior pics. The bridge is beautiful, as is the waterfall stop. We even got some cool pics in the tower. The butterfly house was kind of a disappointment - very small and we only saw two butterflies. It was fun watching all the turtles... More

This park has a lot, but it doesn't have a playground or play areas. Getting that out of the way for the parents out there. This park is about showcasing the beauty of nature in many different forms. While walking the many trails, you'll encounter ponds, forest, wetlands, prairie and many landscaped features. They have packed a lot into a... More
