Small Branch of the Columbus Metro Park system has a little for everyone. First off, decent parking paces and a nice walking trail that weaves through the park. It also connects to the Rails-to-Trails that run along side the park.

There are multiple spots to picnic, some reserve-able shelterhouses, some open tables. Lots of room to spread out.

There is a large pond that supports fishing, a large wildflower area and two playgrounds for kids.

We live nearby and have been there 100's of times. Pretty green space. Like for fishing little fish. Great kids playground! Walking trails. On weekends a huge group of local kids play Nerf battles that are fun to watch. They clean up after themselves and the cops say are definitely not a problem.

Homestead Metro Park in Hilliard is a relatively small park compared to other Metro Parks in Columbus.  What it lacks in size, it makes up with lovely displays of the history of the area.  Refurbished / relocated historical buildings from the railroad period make for an informative visit to the park.  There is a caboose, a railway ticket booth, and a travelers waiting area.  Children will especially enjoy this park.  In addition, the other main features are the about a mile-long walking trail, and a lovely lake.  On the west side of the park runs the beautiful Heritage Trail (about six-mile long), which is great for walking, running, biking.

Homestead Metro Park is a very popular park as I could observe from the several people visiting the park even in the middle of December.  Certainly, make a stop here if you are in the area.

For a Metro-park it is a little on the small side. Has a large playground with some nice shade, a smaller playground, a .75 mile walking loop, with a nice hill to go fast on your bike. During the summer there is a nice wildflowers meadow to walk through. Lots of people come to take pictures on the covered bridge. Has real bathrooms, that I believe are open year round. The Nature center is quite small, feels more like a really big neighborhood park rather than a typical Metro park.

Nice Metro Park 44 acres has several activities some young people ages late teens some in their twenties playing beach volleyball court on sand. When we were at the park there a number of elementary children playing on a good size younger kids playground equipment. The park also has a basketball court. The park has a lot of bike, walking trails that continue outside the boundaries of the park. There is also a couple of nice shelterhouses, one has several sets of overhead garage that can be raised to allow it to be open or closed. There is a covered bridge (pedestrian ) crossing part of of a 2.5 acrea large pond which is open for fishing (catch and release ). Your see many people walking their small children in strollers or walking dogs.
This park is next to a residential housing community and many of the neighbors make good use of the park with the picnic tables and outside grills.

We love to go in the summertime when all the spray features are up. Grandkids can play for hours. Although you are able to drive through the park, it seems that everyone drives slow and pays attention to kids. It's also a great place to walk. Nice winding trail through the park

This metro park is great for families with young children. The nature center has a few live animals and displays along with scheduled programs. The kids love the playgrounds and pond.

This park is small, but extremely well maintained. Even the restrooms are kept nice and clean. There are lots of fun family structures at the park, but I just walk the 3/4 mile loop. Would prefer they not have bikers on the path, especially when they do not announce themselves, but overall it’s a nice path.

We have lived near this park since it was built. Our two sons played here, rode bikes here, fished here, walked our dog here, had cookouts and picnics here, etc. Now that it's a Metro Park, we enjoy the flowers and bring our granddaughter to play and fish.
