Lots to see from different periods in time. Very interesting to see how the area has evolved. Highly recommend the boat cruise and introductory tour. The ghost tour was a waste of money. Too many people and the guide was far too jovial for a...More

Like many young Australians the only real knowledge I had of Port Arthur was the abhorrent incident in the 1990's. However, I know now that there is so much more than that to this intriguing and sprawling site that despite its expanse is only a...More

Thoroughly enjoyed our day walking around the ruins. Great way to spend a day getting to know how this place was used back then. Will visit again one day.

We visited the port Arthur historical site 9 years ago and it's still well looked after today. Your entry ticket inc a walking guide tour and boat tour with knowledgeable speakers. Easy to walk around with a pram everything was accessible.

We did not feel that it was crowded at all. There were lots of tour groups going in different directions and because the area was so vast.
