We did the trip via a self-drive between Hobart and Launceston stops, and the nature trails were breathtaking. We would have totally missed Coles Bay if not for a trusted recommendation from a tour guide. It is a very small town - Iluka Tavern, Juz Foods and the minimart cum fuel kiosk is run by the same owner - and... More

It's been 15 years since returning to a little bit of heaven in Australia. It's such a quaint yet magical part of the world. If you love nature, the environment and water this the place to go. Actually one of so many beautiful places in Tasmania. The local restaurants are fantastic. Nearly all only have local produce on menus. Forget... More

The road into Coles Bay is actually better that the East Coast Highway of Tassie. This is a small village catering to tourism and the Freycinet National Park. there are a few profession fishermen here as well. There is Telstra 4G phone service here which works well. Two local general stores are a little expensive as it the fuel outlet.... More

We had bad weather during our stay, I am sure we missed all the beautiful colours. A part from this, there is nothing for 150 km, barely any restaurant, shop, absolutely nothing to do with the rain.

I recommend this cruise as the skipper was very mindful of the open waters and keeping us free of motion sickness. Enjoyable day.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful, bluest of water and golden beaches. View of Wineglass Bay from the lookout is gorgeous and the walk to Cape Tourville is not to be missed. A trip to Bicheno to see the penguins is well worth the trip as the penguins come so close as you walk the rookery or see them arrive from... More

We on a trip to wineglass bay and stopped here for lunch, we had to make a decision as to whether wineglass bay on bay of fires. We wanted to see the orange rocks, what a surprise to see these glorious rocks right here in close bay, and not needing to make the extra trip further up the coast. We... More
