After 10 months around New-Zealand and Australia it is definetly our favourite.
The location of this vineyard is just perfect if you like the natural landscapes between the sea and mountain...
Situated in an absolutely stunning part of Tasmania, St Imre Vineyard is well worth a visit. The drive from Hobart is scenic and not terribly long. The vineyard and winery are picturesque with plenty of evidence of the wonderful woodworking craftsmanship of Paul.
Flavoursome interesting wines made with mature grapes (unlike those cheap wines made with grapes picked too green). Also an interesting Grappa for the cold days.
Some very interesting art works too, particularly the wood work items, some very nice kitchen/butchers blocks.
We visited in August. We had a nice time there, the beaf gulash was excellent, soo tasty.The wines are very good, and we liked the spirits as well.Had a great tiime there,we will definitely come back!!
