The views and photos you can experience on this walk are amazing. It would be great if it could be made more wheelchair accessible as my son is in a chair and we couldn't do much of the walk. Even if it was a track...More

For those who can only spend a short time at Cradle Mountain National Park, I strongly encourage you to do this walk. It's mostly boardwalked and very easy to walk, taking you about 2 hours to do the full circuit. It gives you wonderful views...More

It was a cold and windy day when we visited. It was also drizzling. It was very very cold for early winter. We drove up to the carpark and did not take the shuttle bus. We had our 5 year old with us. It is...More

We have completed this walk a few times now, in bright sun as well as light rain and drizzle. It's always a wonderful walk with changing landscapes, ecology and views all the way round. This was the first time I'd done the circuit in a...More

Totally agree with Craig S review. What is the point of powering along the track seeing nothing ? Also, there are some nice beaches for a break & a drink & about half way some seating areas for our lunch. It would be nice if...More

Dove Lake is such a beautiful place and it was a highlight of the trip. We visited on a cool winters day (no snow). And in the late afternoon it threatened rain. The walk is a mixture of wooden paths and dirt. It can be...More

It's a pretty scene, and to start with the track is fairly even. Once you get further around the lake you have to climb around trees and up and down steep stairs. None of the track stairs are even or of a height that's easy...More

It takes about 2-2.5 hours and goes right round the lake passing through a variety of vegetation: myrtle beech, moss, lichen. Splendid views up to Cradle Mt. peaks above.

Hi I would advise getting a National Parks Pass usually valid for 2 months thus giving you entry and free shuttle bus!

Hi! 1) We are staying 2 nights at Discovery Park at Cradle mountain in early Dec. Is the main attraction Dove Lake in Lake St Clair National Park? 2) How far is it from our accomomodation? 3) Can we also cover Marion's Lookout on the same day? 4) We are staying at Strahan after Cradle MT. Do you suggest we cover Marion from Strahan?? 5) Do we buy a day pass for each park or is there a pass for all the national parks? Hope to hear from you soonest. Thank you

Hi there. I'm sorry I have only just seen your questions. I'm not the person to ask, but we stayed two nights in the Highlander Chalets and did several quick walks in one day in the one National Park.
