Mavista Nature Walk (Rain Forest Walk) is a lovely walk signposted just off Resolutions Rd at Adventure Bay, Bruny Island.

Drive past the Raspberry Farm and as the the road splits stay right. There is parking space on the road verge about 300m from the turn off.

The Nature Walk takes you through old rain forest next to an active stream. See large ferns and mossed tree stumps. We saw an assortment of mushrooms.

The walking path is easily walked. At the end of the path is a small barrier. Stop here!

The track appears to continue which it does, but gets very difficult and muddy.

There are no water falls on this 30 min walk. However you get lovely creek and rain forest.

I loved the walk. One of the best rain forest walks I’ve done. The scenery and sounds of the area are special.

Highly recommend this walk.

No bathroom. Gravel road driving for about 3km once you turn off from the main road at Adventure Bay.

The turn off is we’ll sign posted.

So again you walk hard over some slippery tracks that make life adventurous to finally get to a waterfall. Not a big waterfall not a broad waterfall but a run of the mill small waterfalls. There is much better in TAS especially around Cradle Mountain. If you must walk to a waterfall then this is a destination but really is it worth it?

We walked about 15 minutes each way through this remnant rainforest, along the pretty little creek. Plenty of tree ferns and photos opportunities.

Lovely walk through old growth rainforest, though a little muddy in sections. A enchanting walk amoung giant tree ferns and mosses. Only downsise was that it is also popular with the local tour operators

our day tour did a quick stop to the Mavista area for a nature walk. The Mavista trail goes through a temperate rainforest. and is reasonably flat for the first 40 minutes.

Followed the pink tags once past the nature walk area, this includes some walking across the creek - probably not best to do after heavy rain, but check the Waterfalls Of Tasmania website for details on the walk. It took us 2 1/2hrs return with some stops along the way. There was a nice ferny gorge area too, not too difficult but I had several falls from walking in the mud. It was nice to have a table to sit at when the walk was over near the car park.
