This is a great place, the quality of the exhibits and the tour experience far exceeded my expectations. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I really enjoyed seeing the platypus and echidnas close up.

We visited the platypus house and absolutely loved it. The population of the platypus tanks were fed while we were there and they were very active. Lots of information from knowledgeable guides. We also entered the echidna enclosure and had them walk up to us for attention. They were fed while we were there.

The ladies were very accommodating as I had a tight schedule and luckily I was the only one on the tour. The platypus were all out swimming in their tanks and the echidnas enjoyed their breakfast. Both animals are really cute but also fascinating and my guide was very informative and didn't tire of my endless questions.

Very educational on both Monotremes, Platypus and Echidnas, with chances to see them up close and personal.

A great way to see the beautiful platypus swimming, playing and eating. They have their own personality and traits. The echidnas were incredible as I thought they were shy animals afraid of humans. No no one was like a puppy. We learnt so much and can recommend that every one should visit.

Being able to watch a platypus up close was a great experience as it is not always easy to see them in the wild. Lots of interesting facts. To be able to watch Echidna's feeding and have them walking around your feet was a treat

Tours occur hourly and should be booked in advance to coincide with your Seahorse World visit. The platypuses are housed in their own huge room with three separate areas including swimming areas. The tour guide is knowledgeable and an expert in the area of Monotremes. The platypuses swim in the tanks of the visiting area or not. The tour guide... More

The Platypus are shy, so great to see them up close. The male as males do was sleeping do he was a no show. Echidnas were a blast. Funny little guys. Interesting learning about them though. Worth a look.
