What used to be a beautiful place to laze around by the lake, in peaceful natural surroundings, has been turned into an ugly eyesore. A new kids playground has just opened and this has taken away the natural beauty of the lake. The noise from screaming kids will be unbearable once lockdown is over.

I was invited up to the Wentworth Falls lake today and it was so much better than I expected. Beautiful views, free barbecues, clean toilets, great play areas for children and a few picnic shelters. We did the loop walk around the lake, about 2.7 km. Highly recommended.

This place is a hidden gem in the Blue Mountains. Tons of free parking, walking tracks, ducks youcan feed, 2 playgrounds for the kids, and a fantastic little food truck (LoveBites) that sells delicious coffee and food from Thursday to Sunday. Skip the busy town centre and stretch your legs by the lake.

Travelling the Blue Mountains in a campervan but based in Wentworth Falls as family are here. This is a great spot to park up and enjoy a walk and a bit of quiet time with the bonus of good toilet facilities! There's a drinking fountain and a couple of bbq's too. Gets pretty busy on the weekends but still a great place for families.

I really enjoyed the trek up to the Lake a couple of months back. The weather was clear and the atmospherics good while my friends and I must have snapped hundreds of photographs.

If you're in the mountains and looking for an easy, but still enjoyable walk try this...often less busy...and enjoy a walk around the lake.

What a beautiful place to relax. It was great to see so many families there and children playing, ducks. It was like a rewind in time, nobody on phones etc, just perfect

Great spot to spend time with family kids, plenty of space for picnics or BBQ. In summer enjoy the lake with Kayak. Great for short walks . Plenty of parking

Wentworth Falls Lake is a lovely spot to take a walk or have a picnic when in the Blue Mountains.
It makes a change from all of the other activities in the area and is very relaxing.

What are the restrictions on miniature ponies attending the lake that is no bigger than a dog??
Written 25 December 2017
HI
I would not be able to answer that question how ever they do have a dog track
perhaps you can contact the council of that area

What are the restrictions on miniature ponies going to the lake?
Written 25 December 2017
Depends on whether they can swim unsupervised or not.....
^_^
As with most council-run public amenities; there are no firearms, camping, tents, alcohol, nuclear fusion reactors, fireworks, miniature ponies or over-cooking of steaks allowed at the lake or the adjacent BBQ areas.
