Step back in time as you are welcomed on-board the authentic 1907 heritage paddle steamer PS Ruby, operating from the Murray Darling Junction. Feel a tinge of excitement and adventure as the steam chambers breath life into the powerful paddles propelling the 205 ton riverboat. Note the lovingly restored woodwork and polished brass fittings and be amazed by the 132 foot 9 inch vessel that only dips 2 1/2 feet into the water below.

I've seen this grand old steamer over the past 10 or more years come from a relic in a park attraction to floating and now looks to be fully restored to It's former glory and ready to be steaming on the mighty Murray again .

We missed the day for cruising on the PS Ruby. It's a stunning restored paddle steamer and an insight into how busy the inland river ports would have been before the coming of rail.
