Another of the places I visited many times growing up, and had the chance to take my son there on a visit to Australia. The drive from the highway is down an unsealed but well maintained road, and is quite a distance. Take it easy, and there are no problems. There is a large car park with picnic facilities where... Its only a short and reasonably level walk to the falls but well worth the effort. If you climb Bald Rock this is also possible to do in the same day The falls cascade into a very deep and stunning, picturesque valley.

Loved hiking along the falls and the past ways. It's not just one waterfall but as you walk along the river you meet more. Easy walk. I also swam in the waterhole and enjoyed it very much. Were can I leave photos? :-)

The flow was fairly strong when we visited but still safe enough to swim. Getting a massage from the top falls. Watch out though - a friend had a narrow Miss from a baby brown snake - so keep your eyes peeled!

We arrived late in the day after visiting Tenterfield. So we did not have the opportunity to go swimming. But we will be back, people were having too much fun. We did have enough time to walk down for the stunning view.

Lots of spots to picnic near the pools and the pools were deep, clear, fresh and invigorating on a hot summers day, waterfalls as well. The area is large enough to accommodate a lot of people without... More
