Great local bushwalk - always enjoyed by my family growing up in the area. Lovely sclerophyll forest, with areas of temperate rainforest - especially the Madoline Glen part of the walk. Some staircases, and foot bridges over the creeks. The Madoline Glen waterfall only runs...More

Our house overlooks Birdwood Gully. It is lovely walking down in the Gully. When you get down in the bottom of the Gully it is like a rain forest , cool, ferns and the beautiful sounds of birds. Good for having a packed picnic.

2.4 km round trip with a short leg on the road, passes through Hawkesbury Sandstone vegetation, down to rainforest gullies, only 100 m from Springwood Station. Cool in the summer, great for an early morning or afternoon workout. At night the glow worms are a...More

I used to do this walk often as a child and I had forgotten how lovely it is to wander through this serene glen that follows the creek. Set aside about and hour or two to enjoy this.

A great escape in the middle of springwood. It's a nice, easy walk with beautiful scenery. Not too hard for young kids either

Lovely bushwalk on a well-maintained track with waterfalls and caves to explore. Only took an hour with a small school age child, including stopping for snacks. A few steep bits but not difficult for anyone who can manage stairs. While it's beautiful bushland, it's close...More

Springwoods hidden Gem is what I'd call this place living in Springwood for 21 years and only at 17 I discovered this 300meters down my road. Absolutely beautiful quiet and peaceful!!

Walked this with friends. Very picturesque. No panoramic scenic views but lots of interesting rock formations. Very wooded. Picked up a friendly leach on the way! Walk whilst not paved is fairly easy going. Nothing too difficult.
