A wonderful museum full of every paraphernalia from the era. Lots of history and information including a time tunnel with more recent information. As well as a 135m mine you can walk through. Privately owned but well worth the effort to visit.

History Hill has the best collection of items from around the Hill End area. Great mine shaft to climb.

Just loved this place! The staff were great. This is the kind of museum I love to visit. Not modern or techie in any way. The layout is cluttered and slightly chaotic but that's a GOOD POINT! A walk through the mine is a must...More

Traveled this way with a mate and his dad. We roughed it for the weekend in tents and looked around a lot. The pub was excellent for meals and a few quiet ones.

If is great to meet the characters of the Outback (people who are genuine even to the point of eccentric). A great collection of memorabilia and the layout winds through the museum then into a mine shafts with 6 x flights of 5mtrs ladder out...More

Huge collection, well laid out. The owner has a great sense of humour which shows truth in the descriptions. The highlight for my teenage boys was the mine shaft and the climb out. We spent nearly two hours there and normally the boys would be...More

Very strange place really, very eclectic mix of items. All rather dusty. Only facilities are toilets. The mine shaft is a reconstruction. Glad it wasn't expensive to enter.

The average time spent at our facility from arrival to departure is 1 hour. I suggest with kids aged 5-9 this would be a little less. A school group under teachers guidance spends about an hour and a half, but that is with... More
