The exhibition of Norman Lindsay's art in the house he lived in for many years is fascinating. His art which shocked the wowsers of his era is a bit saccharin, but the whole museum, including 7 amazing model ships he built from scratch are intriguing. While I have known quite a bit about Lindsay, I was most impressed by the... More

This great artist has been underappreciated in Australia. His many talents are truly world-class. The National Trust is to be congratulated on this fine exhibition. Will visit again.

We visited following a recommendation and were not disappointed. We arrived in time to look around and then join a history tour, this included where Norman Lindsay painted (studio) and where he did his etchings. This brought everything to life and gave us a bit of background that we were not aware of - try to factor this in if... More

Thoroughly enjoyed - the home, feels like Lindsay is still there! The beautiful gardens and the fabulous collection of his works. Prints and original works were available to buy. Always admired his 'blowsy nudes' and it was so this time too!

Norman Lindsay was an exceptional painter, artist and writer. The Norman Lindsay gallery was perceived by Lindsay when he was alive and his art and paintings remain inspirational and a true legacy of a brilliant man.

The Norman Lindsay Museum and Gallery is a fine tribute to an extraordinary man - artist, sculptor, story teller Take the free guided tour as this gives a lot more information and access to the artist's studio - with his last unfinished oils on display - and to the print studio where there is currently an artist in residence. The... More

The food in the cafe was great, In particular I enjoyed their beef pie with mash, relish and mushrooms, though the Jasmine teapot (for 2) was also very good! The only thing I would recommend if you plan to eat here in the hotter months would be mosquito spray as the cafe is situated between the gardens and the bush.... More

Great place to spend with friends. Just a beautiful place to visit. The food is just basic but very nice. Have never had a bad meal yet. It used to be BYO but unfortunately they have stopped that. This is the only detriment to this restaurant.
