Established in December 2001, Gallery Blackheath is an artist-owned and managed non-profit gallery showcasing a selection of paintings, drawings, printworks and photographs by prize-winning Blue Mountains artists.

New exhibitions of works by gallery partners are presented every two months and feature works by selected guest artists from time to time.

The professional presentation of a diverse range of quality artworks, many of which may be found in local, national and international private and corporate collections, has ensured that the Gallery Blackheath is widely recognised as playing a major role in the establishment of Blackheath as a significant regional art destination.

This gallery is a kind of co-op of several local artists, all of whom are good at what they do, but what they do as a group is quite a lot of variety in styles and techniques. It's really worth a visit - open I think only Friday Saturday Sunday.

A gallery that would benefit from a redesign, as it feels uncomfortable to walk through, despite having some nice art on the walls. Maybe move reception to the front room? Knock some walls through, to open it up?

We have been surveying our visitors/clients on this point. Given the physical constraints of the building, we are trying to combine a professional art space with a domestic living environment. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, especially that the space is relaxing, not intimidating. More

A Nice little surprise. Some really interesting works here and we are glad we stumbled upon this place. And a great place to meat some quirky and interesting people. There is also plenty to do in the area so take a drive and visit here.

I used to run a gallery and was forever disappointed when people said the they were afraid to come in because they didn't understand art, or they felt embarrassed or would be "forced to buy". This is a great space with many artists work on display. The artwork is professional, but well priced. Why put a commercial print on your... More

We visit Blackheath several times a year and always make time to call in. The artists are varied but work together well. And they are happy to talk to you. We always tell frieds to call in when they are in the area.

This is easily the best art gallery in the Blue Mountains. It is run by a group of local artists who display and sell their work through the gallery. I have visited numerous times and am repeatedly struck by how interesting and varied the works are. There is always something new and intriguing to view. The artists all have very... More

This gallery is worth return visits. The quality of the works is always high and the variety of styles amongsst the members is refreshing. I would like to offer particular congratulations on the selection of their new member, Ray Harrington, an established mountains artist. The space given to visiting artists also adds a novel element to a repeat visit.
