Had a high tea, which was very enjoyable. I went at the end of the season so not busy as the gardens were closed. Would go again and recommend. Cakes were lovely.

This garden would be impressive in the spring, but I was disappointed at how little was blooming when I visited in early September. The Italian Garden was still lovely and I could see the potential for other seasons. I know it's difficult to plant for early autumn, but both Nymans and Great Dexter still had a beautiful displays at the... More

We visited on a Monday morning and there were very few visitors here, its so nice to be able to wander around and sit on a bench in peace & quiet. You will be given a map and we found it very useful as there are lots of sculptures around the garden which are for sale & it gave us... More

The privately-owned garden here is a delight, the highlight, in my view, being the lovely Italian garden with its pool and giant terracotta pots filled with summertime colour. Great little café on-site as well for that essential cake or light lunch (especially popular with "ladies who lunch"!)

Good access and parking. I spent a few very pleasant hours walking through the extensive themed gardens and was able to find time to do the walk through the wooded areas. This is quite hilly in places and just about buggy friendly. Didn't visit the main restaurant but found the little tented cafe in the grounds. Staff very friendly and... More

We've just come home from a lovely day in the beautiful gardens at Borders Hill. With so many different areas, there is plenty to discover and take inspiration from. Our two and five year old children loved exploring the paths and had a great time in the playground. The rose garden was spectacular and the Italian garden was quite stunning.... More
