Having lived in Rugby and left 20 years ago I thought it was about time I returned to visit some of the places that were still there. The Victoria being one of them. The pub hadn't changed much which was reassuring. The beer had though and it was a pleasure to spend an hour enjoying what the Atomic Brewery had... More

Consistently good beer, with a good choice that is changed regularly. Nice period features, friendly staff. TVs can be a bit intrusive, but there are a couple of small side rooms, in which to seek refuge from the football. Good value, no mediocre beer here for £5 a pint.

In a town which boasts more than its fair share of quality pubs, The Victoria stands out as one of the most comfortable. The retention of the traditional division between public bar and lounge gives the pub a great personality. 'The Vic' (along with the Alexandra Arms) stocks the locally-brewed Atomic Ales (Rugby's only brewery), which are very affordable. This... More

A very good choice of real ales, including the Atomic range brewed down the road at sister pub The Alexander Arms. Lively quiz nights twice a week. Very convenient for town centre. Can get very busy, but always quick service at the bar. Various snacks available. One of Rugbys best chip shops just 100 yards away. Not much parking space... More

One of Rugby's excellent 'Real Ale' pubs. Always a good choice of ales, and will include some from Rugby's Atomic Brewery, under the same management as this pub and Rugby's Alexandra Arms.

A beautiful little Edwardian pub with an atmospheric interior. A sister pub to the Alexandra Arms (home of Atomic Brewery) a short distance away. A good range of real ales and regular beer festivals keep everyone happy. Regular quiz on a Sunday night. Bar snacks only, e.g. rolls, crisps. Several times winner of Camra pub of the year.

Just an average pub & nothing to write home about, everything is mediocre. If anything it's drab & dull

The Vic keeps a very good pint of ale, and there is also wide selection. The lounge has a nice character from it's Victorian style. It was quite busy on the Friday night when we visited, and hence was quite noisy with pretty much standing room only, but it's popularity seems to be a reflection of its quality.
