A good place to walk and see the birdlife if you are member and live locally. Most recent visit with grandchildren who live on the south coast. They enjoyed the trip.

The WWT Washington Wetlands Centre has an amazing variety and extensive collection of birds plants and animals. Lovely family attention!

A very well maintained wetland. Lots of ponds and lakes to explore. Fantastic variety of birds to get close up to so excellent for photographers, All birds so friendly and had great fun feeding them. The flamingos are lovely and the otters are so cute....More

What a delightful place. A huge variety of birds including Flamingo and Heron. Lovely that some of them will eat seed from your hand. Nice pot of hot tea and a scone in the cafe. Wonderful friendly staff throughout the visit.More

A well managed wet land site with perfect habitat for ducks, geese, wading birds, flamingos and Asian short clawed otters. Very good hides for watching birds close up, pleasant walks through woodland, meadows and amphibian areas. Lots for children to get 'hands on' with bugs...More

If you have been previously you can send in your receipts from the entry fee paid and this will be discounted from price depending what type of membership you get.

Hi Brian, WWT Washington here! Unfortunately only assistance dogs are permitted on site due to our zoo licence and the other birds on site. There are some shaded areas in the car park but this changes throughout the day... More
