The walk from the top of Reigate Hill down to Gatton Park and back is a good little leg-stretcher. If you are a fairly brisk walker, you can do the round trip in about 50 minutes, and there are some quite steep hills to descent and climb back up on your return. It's wise not to do the walk in... Pleasant park, very enthusiastic volunteers and a nice afternoon out. My first visit to Gatton Park and I've always wanted to have a look at the grounds. Very impressive private school attached. We had a very nice picnic and our youngest daughter (6) thrilled at dressing up in Georgian costume. In the grounds, the children liked the rock garden best.... More

Beautiful place with stunning views of the Surrey countryside. You won't be disappointed. The small church on site is perfect to then escort guests the 100m walk to Gatton Hall itself. The area is clean and tidy and the exterior and interiors are perfect for any occasion.

This year's weather has been appalling, but the day my daughter and I chose for our walk here was just perfect. There were occasional puddles to navigate, but once we got to the spot we chose for our picnic the ground was dry. We enjoyed just sitting on our rug and gazing down over the beautiful view. The area itself... More

Parking is limited but moves quite quickly. Lovely walk past the Fort and then dogs are allowed off once you reach Gatton Park.

There is a lovely circular walk that you can do starting at the café at the top of Reigate Hill. There are some steep slopes but its a very pleasant walk - particularly at bluebell time. Views across the park are great.

Took my daughters, 4 & 5, to gatton park on one of their open days and it was lovely! Lots for the children to explore and some amazing photo opportunities too ;-) I would say that the coffee shop prices are pretty steap.

We live in Reigate, near the station and have mapped out a great circular walk that takes us around 1.5 - 2 hours door to door. Tremendous views from Reigate Hill. Great for all the family and to take visitors as not a difficult walk with the interesting spots of the old fort and the site of the spitfire crash... More
