Perfect for all the family and a great way to explain what many things were like when grandparents were young. Plenty of room to run around too. Many 'special' days in the summer to add extra interest but you can easily spend a couple of hours here on ordinary days. Check opening times, especially in winter.

This is an interesting place for people of all ages, families and singletons, It was a warm day but there were plenty of places to sit in the shade and rest.We had a snack which was good and resonably priced.

Went here for one of the special fun Thursdays that the museum site holds throughout the year. Our two grandchildren (4 and 8) have been pressing to go back since our last visit and lived this second visit to the rural life museum. There was much to do on the day with the activities from making casts of fossils to... More

Very interesting open air Museum in beautiful surroundings. Good cafe too. Ideal to include on the end of a good walk through the forest.

The Rural Life Centre near Farnham was one of the attractions that cropped up most in searches when we were staying in a nearby holiday park. We've previously enjoyed the Chiltern Open Air Museum and this felt like a similar attraction so we couldn't wait to investigate. We arrived early on a Saturday just after opening, and found the place... More

An army of volunteers offer kids a fun day out with lots of activities for them to do. My granddaughter loves firing a rocket she made by jumping onto a plastic bottle! Over and over again 40 foot or more into the air. I was fascinated how the kids loved washing cloths by hand as they did 100 years ago.... More

A veritable time capsule from a bygone rural age. The brainchild of a local collector who then turned it over to a charity to run, it is quite different from anything experienced before. A living museum you might say, with artifacts from the turn of the centrury and into the 1900's I guess, in the main Well worth a visit... More
