We had a great visit but not enough time to enjoy it properly.Friendly passionate staff. They are eager to explain the exhibits but not intrusive. They are also helpful with other information about the local area. If I am down there again I will definitely visit again

With time to spare while visiting the David Lean cinema we discovered the museum which has been put together so cleverly with contributions from Croydon residents and friends. It is designed in neat sections so you can save an area for a later visit which is what we plan to do. The friendly group of volunteers are good fun to... More

If you are interested in the history of Croydon (the original one in South London - there are a few other Croydons around the world!) then this free museum is worth a visit. I tend to drop in at lunchtimes. It covers the history of the borough with imaginative interactive displays. Housed in the central library building you will also... More

This well worth a visit. Even if you are a visitor or a resident of Croydon. Lots to see. Easy to find as its close to the iconic clock tower and the war memorial.

This characterful place is above the library in Croydon. It is short walking distance from East Croydon Station. I recommend it if you are in the area and have about an hour to spare. It contains all kinds of items relating to the area which goes back to Roman times.

Worth a visit. Small musuem but well looked after and obviously a lot of thought put into the exhibits given the area. Involve the community and schools which is great and grab a tea and a bit of cake in the cafe which has jazz bands free of charge during the week. Free and fun.

If your looking to spend a few moments in the old Town Hall - not the first but the second, then call in here - pass by the library entrance and search by the public conveniences! its a bit of nostalgie, and quite fun.

Easy to find (in the main Croydon library building) small museum that gives information on past local events and celebrities. Good intro to museums for children. You really need to know the location of Croydon to local areas to understand the importance in aviation history and relevance to the war.
