Step back in time and experience life in a Medieval Castle. Explore Tudor and Stuart chambers, grand Victorian reception rooms and the magnificent late Medieval Great Hall. Tamworth Castle promises a brilliant day out for all the family. There is plenty to see and even more to do with hands on displays and costumes. The Castle Keep is set in extensive pleasure grounds in the centre of Tamworth's historic market town. Over the centuries the Medieval motte and bailey Castle has welcomed royal visitors, key figures in history and nobility. For more information please visit our website.

Amazing that it's so old - so much history within the castle grounds. It's a beautiful place in the summer. The musuem needs updating and if you're lucky you might bump in to one of the ghosts!

The visit to the castle was interesting and good value. The displays and hands on experiences made it very good for both kids and adults.

Thank you for your 5 start review, the Castle and Castle Grounds provide a really fun day out for the whole family, our special events are also very popular with families so maybe try one of these out on your next visit.

Went with my 12 year old boy and 6 year old girl. It was a great event which amazingly managed to keep both of them entertained for the whole time. For a small castle I think this really is an incredibly well turned out location.

Set in the large park in the town centre, this is an ideal place to visit to get an over view of local history.

Yes, it should take you less than 15 minutes to walk from the station to the Castle and it's a fairly direct route. There is a map on our website under the Plan Your Visit section - Find Us.
