Was taken to the Roaches by a local and started with a cup of tea in the café! Then off for a stiff walk to the top of the nearest peak and as it was a beautiful day the views were terrific. Well worth a walk if you are that way!

We are so lucky to live near the Roaches. It's is a stunning place for walking and climbing. Great for kids who like scrambling over rocks. Magnificent views. And free!!!

We followed the footpath (smaller path that forks immediately on your left as you go through the gate) all the way up to the trig point- was a relatively easy path/route to follow. Found... More

Some fantastic views and great for a lovely day to walk. Even if the weather is not brilliant, it is still lovely to roam.

Lovely area of the Peak District on the Buxton Road north of Leek. Great views over the countryside. Easy to medium walks. Minimum car parking.

It is a beautiful area with room to park the car, places for lunch and good pubs. Best seen in spring and summer, but winter (if it does not snow0 is attractive

Just a short drive out of Leek is a lovely walk with beautiful views. It's advisable to wear walking boots as it can be a little slippery on the rocks. Suitable for all ages but great for kids, not too challenging but be aware there is a deep pool of water along the walk this is the Doxey pool where... More
