This is a really well kept and interesting church and what a joy to find it open, always a plus! The rare and ancient effigies are so wonderfully carved and look very crisp and clean.

Great food and lovely atmosphere - this is one of the best pubs in the South West. Consistently high quality food, great beers and good wine list.

Visit the village church and see the old place throughout. Nice old tower and bells with an interesting central aisle and stained glass windows.

Visited on a sunny Saturday; we walked around outside; nearly didn't bother with going inside but a really impressive interior worth a visit - nobody at all about when we were there.

We found this village, Hinton St. George, after bracketing it from the west, north, east and then, by finding it signposted and reflected in my rear-view mirror, from the south as we were driving west from Crewkerne! Truly it must be twinned with Brigadoon. We...More
