Hidden gem deep in the Shropshire countryside - if you enjoy quiet contemplation in a lovely setting you'll enjoy this. Very good audio tour from English Heritage brings the place to life - a sense of history seems to be all around. The adjoining country town of Much Wenlock is also worth a visit.

Well kept and very informative with the free audio. Would have been better if the weather was nice and we could have sat taking in the surrounding but it's England!

Decided to drive to Wenlock Priory on a beautiful Sunny Sunday. Have been meaning to visit for a while. So so glad l did. It was a beautiful place. The actual ruins were the prettiest lve been to and they are quite large. It is peaceful and tranquil. I bought a guide book rather than the Audio and sat and... More

we called in here and spend a good 2+ hours wandering around with our audio guard. Very interesting to learn about the history of the Priory.

Looking majestically over Much Wenlock, certainly worth walking around and taking in this once operational priory.

I took my three granddaughter's aged eight, five and three who loved the opportunity to run around and climb on the pillars that had fallen into ruin. I used my English Heritage membership to obtain free admission for us all. We spent a happy couple of hours here. The girls couldn't decide whether they preferred the Museum or Priory. I... More

If you are an English Heritage member, a no-brainer if you are in the area, along with Buildwas Abbey. Not a big site, but... More

By English Heritage standards this is a small site to visit. It had all the facilities of a guide book, to purchase, or audio description. Not a great deal to see but if you are in Much Wenlock it is worth a visit.
