Lovely little museum Visited to do some family tree research and Beverly could not have been more helpful. Went out of her way to find the information about Viners drapery shop owned by our great grandfather Thank you Beverly

Excellent museum tracing the history of Witney especially of the wool/blanket trade. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff. 2 hours should be enough to cover it.

Informative small museum with a comprehensive history of Witney and it’s industries. Great 1950s kitchen mock up. However the displays are dated it doesn’t look like anything has changed since the 70s

Small town museum with an interesting collection of local artefacts and history. Just off the high street, and entry is free. Worth a visit to see the exhibits and learn about the history of blanket making.

We stopped by here whilst in the town, the museum is a little hidden away but worth a visit. Free to enter the main museum, it was good to learn a bit of the areas history and look at some artefacts.

This is an interesting small museum depicting the history of Witney. For a small museum, run completely by volunteers, it holds a varied display from prehistoric information, through the Witney blanket story to a source of modern information. Admission is by donation and seems to be open most days. Well worth a visit.

Found this delightful small museum while looking around Witney. Our visit was entirely made by the volunteer on duty, a senior citizen with a sharp wit and great knowledge of Witney, its history and the museum. This lady is the most valuable asset in the museum!

Lovely museum not dull and dingy like some museums.Everywhere was bright and clean. The video of the towns history was excellent and easy to relate to the exhibits in the museum after watching it. The adjoining cafe was also very good the Tourist Information is also in the same building. It is also free entry although we did leave a donation in the box

We went to this museum today and were lucky as they are closing for the winter after tomorrow. Interesting local musuem with a very informative guide who kept checking in with us to see if we had any questions and also made suggestions of where to go next.
