Clumber is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath and woods covering more than 3,800 acres.Clumber Park was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. Although the house was demolished in 1938, there are glimpses of its grand past to explore - from the Gothic-style chapel, often referred to as a 'cathedral in miniature', you can follow in the footsteps of dukes through the peaceful pleasure ground to the Walled Kitchen Garden, where you can experience sights, scents and a taste of the past.Today Clumber offers freedom to discover a ducal park and provides a haven for wildlife within an idyllic setting. With 3,800 acres of picturesque parkland and gardens, peaceful woodlands and a magnificent lake to enjoy there is plenty of space to explore and relax with your family and friends. Not only is Clumber's mosaic of habitats home to an amazing array of wildlife, it is also a great place to spot it.And there's much more to explore.

We had a lovely early Spring walk and filling and warming bowl of soup; fairly priced. A cold wind, but protected in a very interesting walled garden with an excellently preserved and renovated greenhouse. A pleasant tea and cake - with a very polite and helpful waiter.

We visit Clumber Park a lot and love to just walk round the lake. These days we try to visit during the week and during school times as it's much quieter then. The café is good but we usually just have coffee and bring our own picnic. We have, in the past, had family picnics and bike rides and thoroughly... More

If Clumber Park intend to keep the new system for payment by non members a new entrance need to be made reserved for members only. Did they not even monitor how many non members would be coming in at peak times.

I have loved Clumber Park since we moved here nearly 30 years ago. My children and two much loved dogs romped here many times. Lots of places to walk and ride. Lovely scenery. A cafe, toilets and shops add to a visit. Unfortunately, it became increasingly difficult to let dogs run free, due to introduction of sheep and cattle in... More

There's loads to do here, whether it's running, walking, bike riding or dog walking. He cafes have a good selection of food, snacks and drinks. There's even a drop of ale! Do a circuit of the lake like we did.

Always enjoy a visit to Clumber. Very busy today, car parking was a bit of a nightmare with a lot of the usual parks closed off. Now the pathways have been attended to round the lake it is a very enjoyable walk, lovely surroundings, ice cream van, cafe, ample toilets and grounds well cared for.

great for cycling, walking, cafe's, picnics lovely grounds and plenty to take and do. since the new pricing, you are better off buying a national trust family pass if you get to visit regularly. lovely scenery and a good adventure play park for younger children.

Enjoyable walk around the grounds, many birds visible in the woods. Only problem was squirrels frightening the birds when they come down to feed. Hence need of binoculars. Elsewhere the swans believe they own the grounds and don't move out the way, so would suggest eating in the café rather than outside

I visited Clumber last week before my National Trust Membership runs out. It is a lovely place to visit and there are good opportunities for photography. The new charges have been dropped from £5.00 per person to £3.50, this means I will have to visit 19 times by myself to cover the cost of joining which I will not be... More

Really enjoyed the visit, returned the following week with the kids who were just as impressed. Will certainly visit again with a picnic and make a day of it
