20 years absence had - if anything improved this wonderful NT house and gardens. Wide open spaces (for young and old), woodland walks and a delightful walled garden. Unfussy stately home with links to the Trevelyan family. Terrific stone dragons' heads on front lawn.

Came here for a lovely day in mid summer. There was a lively cafe and you get to see most of the rooms in the house. There was loads of space for families and we had a great day.

Visited the area loads of times but never been to this gem of a place before. Delightful well informed staff in the house which has an interesting history, captivating 'chests' to open in the rooms, beautiful walled garden and much beyond we didn't see.
