Well worth following this trail. See lots of Berwick. Very little has changed when you compare Lowry's pictures to what you see today. My imagination went into overdrive as to what life was like in his day.

This walk is a must for anyone who has even a little interest in history. It is a pleasant walk without any steep climbs and the views from the wall are very good.

We found Berwick to be an interesting place to visit Free parking which was brilliant Its a bustling town with plenty of Cafes and shops to visit. Never been a big fan of the artist L.S.Lowry but having visited some of his favourite haunts and places he committed to paper has put a different light on things. We are now... More

Interesting way to see parts of Berwick and Tweedmouth. Follow the Lowery information boards around the town to some of Lowery's favourite locations.

Pick up the trail guide at the Tourist information centre. You do not have to do the whole trail in one go, split it over a couple of days which will allow you to stop off in Berwick for food and drink. I suggest the Tweedmouth section can be done in one go unless when you reach the beach at... More

This whole walk is about 5 miles, very pleasant and easy to do. Plenty stops for coffee if you want to leave the walk then rejoin it again.

Berwick has been at the centre of so many major historical events, mainly wars, yet the evidence of this is very understated. A walk round the walls (the significance of which are well explained) and a stroll through the centre and you soon find out many things which are unexpected. The Lowry trail is well sign-posted and explained. Lowry visited... More
