We went in March, so we didn't get to see the bees. Bus cafe was closed too, but we enjoyed the displays about the bees, the old vehicles and museum, and bought some things from the shop. The young lady in the shop was very chatty and was interested where everyone was from, and gave everyone advice on attractions they... More

This is a great little hidden gem of a place. My husband, myself and our 2 yr old visited regularly in the summer. Free of charge to wander around and admire the vintage farm equipment and an excellent tea room serving the most amazing sandwiches and home made soup as well as a wonderful array of cakes. With inside seating... More

Only partly open at this time of year but have been before when the excellent double decker bus cafe was open. I dropped in this time for some of the beautiful beeswax candles sold here, in various shapes and sizes. Good value and the best I know of. It is a very interesting place, well worth a visit. Friendly and... More

I was surprised at how much there was to learn about bees and beekeeping. There are a few rooms of information and history in addition to the shop. We were there in winter, so the bus cafe was closed and the bees were drowsy in the display hive, but we were still there at least an hour looking at everything.... More

We visited the farm on a rainy day. Not sure what to expect but great little place. My girls looked around the little museum and found it very interesting. The lady who was sat decorating candles was very friendly and knowledgeable. The girls loved the live bees in the see through hive. We had our lunch on the double decker... More

We really enjoyed learning about the bees and chatting to the helpful staff. We also bought some delicious honey and would recommend a visit.

Interesting visit, lots to learn about bees. However, main point of visit was to get our hands on some of their delicious honey. Mission accomplished.

We really enjoyed our visit here in the winter season and will definitely return in the summer when the cafe is open. The shop and visitors centre is highly informative and the staff really helpful and willing to spend time explaining any aspect of the centre and its work with keeping bees and making honey. There are some excellent displays... More

I like the double decker bus café and all the vehicles at the back. The chain bridge offers wonderful views of the river and the sheep walk is worth touring. The old items museum is curious and so are the farming vehicles at the back field. You must the beeswax gifts and the bees inn the glass cage.

Willie Robson and his family have many interests - mechanical and bee keeping. My granddaughters loved their first visit - and they will be very happy to visit again
