I grew up in kettering and wicksteed park was always the pace to go for a fun summers day out. With ice creams available all over, and fun rides to go on. Both free and paid for. The train that runs throughout the whole park has always been my highlight. With car boots there most sundays throughout the year i... More

Plenty of open space for the family, seems geared for the younger children 10 and under I would say,the crazy golf could do with updating. Only really two activities for older kids the zip wire and tree walk.

we popped here on a week day (off peak) with our three year old, but sadly nothing seemed to be open! I did check online first and the opening hours were 8am until 4pm but sadly it was just the play park. The cafes, shop and even the ice cream vendor was closed. To be honest we would have had... I visited here with a friend and our 8/9 year old children. We had a great day. There's plenty to keep everyone entertained in a beautiful setting. We purchased wrist bands, so we were able to go on the rides, which are great for the age of children we took. The train round the park is fun. The lakes are... More

I think it is being refurbished but it's in a bad state at the minute. We did have fun though and the things they did have there were good especially the meerkat run.

Love that it has an old fashioned charm. Love the open spaces. Loving the addition of the farm animals and meerkats. Great that there are new attractions like the zip wire. Sad that the swinging boats have gone. At that the playground, lake, open spaces are free. Find the tickets for the other attractions expensive. Traffic in summer can be... More

So, it looks old, tired and very dated. Yes it's a kind of off season but it was busy. I found some staff rude and some definitely didn't want to be there. £5 per child for a wristband for 5 activities, 1 of which is half open. It's clear work is being carried out on site, I just hope other... More

It's the perfect place to walk the dogs. Loads of walks and our Shitzu's love looking at the goats, Meerkats and various birds. They have to stay on the leads. Our grandson usually falls asleep. But the lakeside walk is hard surfaced and easy in all weathers. If you're going to visit a lot. I recommend a season ticket for... More

Ok so when I was young this was arguably one of the most fun, family friendly and enjoyable places you could go. So what's changed? Not much to be honest "literally" But that shouldn't be held against this place. Yes it's a tad dated, yes it looks a bit tired in places, but the key is, kids love it and... More
