I don't generally expect much of this kind of local museum, but this one is very good, with lots of reconstructed shops and the surgery set from "All Creatures Great and Small"., plus insights into many aspects of dales life.

We came here mostly to see the surgery set from "All Creatures Great and Small", but there is so much more to see here. For people like us with no previous knowledge of Richmond, it was a morning well spent.

This is a super museum, tucked away in a side street but well work seeking out. So many different rooms devoted to such things as transport, lead mining and old shops.
