Enjoyed the museum and viewing area, no tour/talk available it seemed today though. Had lunch in the restaurant, up there with the best cheese ploughman I've had and my sister in law's soup and sandwich option looked amazing (she couldn't eat it all!). No room for a pud, unfortunately. Spent more than I should have in the cheese shop, mainly... More

A fantastic couple of hours were enjoyed by us today at this working Wensleydale Creamery cheese factory. So many attractions today are a rip off but the 40 minute demonstration of how their cheese is made, followed by seeing it all actually happening in the factory, all for £3.50 per adult was time and money well spent. Plus you get... More

Enjoyable trip to the Wensleydale Creamery- the cheese making demonstration was very interesting informative made even better as the lady doing the demonstration was entertaining. The museum and factory were very interesting especially watching the workers make the cheese through the viewing area. The Wallace and Gromit casts were a fantastic idea and you could have picture taken with them.... More

Arrived just in time to watch a cheese making demonstration that was very interesting and informative. Lots of free cheese samples in the cheese shop and a lovely gift shop. Well worth a visit for the price. If only we had had a fridge to store the cheese, we would definitely had purchased some.

We really enjoyed a trip to Wensleydale Creamery. The visit around the museum/factory is interesting and informative. There are also interactive areas for younger children. We paid an extra £1 to visit the cheese making demonstration talk. This was absolutely fantastic and even kept teenage boys engaged! Vanessa was so knowledgeable and really made her demonstration interesting for all ages.... More

When your friend says "do you want to spend the afternoon in Hawes", maybe get him to clarify before the 5 hour drive from London. Not going to lie, I thought he meant something completely different... Initial disappointment aside, we decided to make the most of it. In the end we loved it, we had a 'grate' day out. Car... More

Took 2 grandsons and there was plenty for them to be involved in. For adults the process and seeing the factory answers questions. As for the shop, living in Wensleydale I can get a range of cheeses (Sorry but I don't like typical Wensleydale) but here they have varieties I haven't found. Fountains Gold is available and lovely but the... More

What a great place to visit. We spent 2 hours there followed by a yummy cheese scone in the cafe and a lot of cheese tasting in the shop. A really fun morning.
