Any reason to visit is great. Tried the cafe (sandwich and soup is lovely, cakes good too), shop (spent a lot on christmas stocking fillers, household items, gifts and cheese) and museum (lots to learn for all the family and you get to watch the cheese been made in a demonstration and in bulk through glass).

I am a cheese lover and wad determined to visit here. The cost is £2.50 a snip. The tour is self guided and walking through the visitors centre we learned the history of cheese and cheese making through the ages. You learn about the highs and lows during the middle years and how if it was not for a management buy... This is a great place to visit for the local cheese selection. The main restaurant was clean and warm on a very cold day. The staff are attentive and the food is excellent.

The cheese making viewing is little more than a chance to watch the factory through a (slightly scratched) window. It didn't give any sense of what was happening or how the factory operated. The rest of the museum was vaguely interesting with historic cheese making equipment. However the highlight was the free cheese samples in the shop - so no... More

Staying in Hawes for new year and being cheese lovers a visit here was a must. Imagine our delight when we entered, so many cheeses, most with samples to try.....cheese heaven! After sampling every type and there are in excess of twenty to try we then spent a fortune on the delicious produce. Well worth another visit when we are... More

Called yesterday and I had the Yorkshire Rarebit with additional topping. Hubby had posh dog! Excellent value for money and extremely tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

We enjoyed the tour round the small museum. There were things to do for the children so they had fun. Our meal in the restaurant was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the cheese tasting too.

My visit to Wensleydale Creamery was one of the highlights of my trip! The tasting room was obviously my absolute favourite spot and I felt like I was in cheese heaven. I thoroughly enjoyed the samples on display and left with a good number of different types of cheeses in my shopping basket.

Great experience, must visit the museum. And a must visit is the cheese tasting room, go into the gift shop and you will see the cheese tasting room, try every cheese, then buy your favourite.
