Great waterfall

We visited as part of a great circular walk from Hawes. Our teenagers loved it. Enjoyed a drink in the pub afterwards.

Pleasantly surprised as was really tall and impressive, and you can walk behind it and right around it if the water is not too strong (even though the sign says this is prohibited!). Nice to see the nearby lambs too. Visited one weekend morning, odd that the Green Dragon Inn car park was not open, so we had to park... More

A beautiful sight on a sunny day. You can go behind the waterfall and feel the real power of the it. the water in the steams is cold but very refreshing to dip your feet in!

The girlfriend & I were having a day looking at waterfalls. So we travelled here to see what I believe is the highest uninterrupted fall of natural water in England. OK, compared to the Angel Falls it probably looks like a water feature in the Miraflores' garden, but actually I am glad I went because it is faintly impressive in... More

Just north of Hawes, don't miss the Hardraw Force falls, although it is easy to miss it. As you go into the village of Hardraw, look out for the Green Dragon Inn on the right. If the car entrance isn't open, park officials on the road and walk through the inn. It is unusual to go to an outdoor exhibit... More

This is worth the short walk through the pub. There is a small charge. Best to go following rainfall to see the waterfall at it's best.

We had a pleasant walk across the fields from Hawes. There's now a new visitor centre behind the pub. You walk alongside the Hardraw Beck up to the waterfall. When we were there there hadn't been much rain and so not much water was flowing over the falls. Having said that it was still impressive and worth the entry charge.

Our granddaughter thought it was fantastic. It's in a lovely quiet location with a very nice cafe to have a treat in on the way out

Great for dog walkers and free if you are residents at the Green Dragon pub. Our dos had a swim in the shallow waters and loved every minute. Nice little cafe an plenty of picnic benches
