Thought we would bring our visiting Australian cousin to hopefully find out some interesting facts about Grimsby that she didn't know. We were made very welcome by the jolly staff who encouraged us to take the questionaire sheet basically aimed at people 60 years younger...More

Visited this weekend as it was free as part of the local heritage open day. Although interesting, it is very small and didn’t take long to walk round. I think they could put more emphasis on the prison as they have done at Lincoln castle...More

Who would have thought that the prison and courthouse used to be situated in the Town Hall in Grimsby. It's a real time-trap - with all the old documents, uniforms and furniture. Plus you go into the passages in the bowels of the Town Hall.....More

An exciting, entertaining , amusing and very informative museum. Not a large venue, but this enhances the museum with clever and innovative displays. If you are in the area please take a detour and enjoy this wonderful place - ou won't regret it.
