Found this lovely little pub during the Sat evening of the oyster festival- having been to another establishment where some rowdy drunks had ended up throwing chairs at each other. Great pub, with a wide selection of drinks, including local beers. Very friendly bar staff-...More

The barman was very friendly and as we were the only people there told us some stories about the pubs in Whitstable which was good. Pub itself felt a little drab and dark and the beer was good but nothing special.

This is one of the better pubs in Whitstable. It is an attractive building with comfortable seating and a very nice atmosphere. The service was friendly, the beer good - a very nice local.

Nothing exciting to say about the establishment. We visited after reading an article claiming it had been upgraded by Shepherd Neame. Quite what had been improved remains a mystery. A lack luster service and drab interior failed to inspire.
