Nice castle but ceck if you can enter before you go

Visited the castle and grounds which were very impressive but make sure you check in advance if you want to visit the interior as it can be closed for events/bookings.

Once again a fantastic event at whitstable castle. My daughter loved hunting for the fairies and looking at the wonderful fairy gardens scattered around the garden. Plus the fairy rings and houses in the trees. Would recommend going to this event.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our event. We are absolutely delighted that you enjoyed the Fairy Scavenger Hunt - it was lovely to see all of the happy children running around the gardens! More

Decided to have a cup of tea and coffee at the Castle. Plenty of little fairy looking kids around since there was a fairy theme going on. Enjoyed a cup at the orangery but four cups of tea and some cakes came to £20.

We visited The Orangery Tearooms during the half term holiday and were disgusted by the state of the tearooms . Any visitors from abroad viewing a place like this must have a very poor opinion of our health and hygiene standards . Both my husband and my self have worked in the meat trade and have had to passs numerous... More

Wandered through the castle grounds while walking through the town. Not far from the beach and nice change. The gardens are nice and I would say during the summer months the colours of all the roses is amazing. The buds were just starting to come on the roses while we were there. We ventured into the castle for a cup... More

The attached cafe has all the trappings and attractions of a traditional coffee and cake restaurant but was let down by service. Stopped for a break after visiting the Antique fair at the same venue. Not very busy but still took over 20 minutes before anyone asked us if we'd like to order. They take down your order on a... More

Interesting and free place to wander around, close to town. Worth a coffee in the castle looking out onto the gardens

Have been a few times but this time the experience was awful. Waited over 40 minutes for two bowls of tepid soups and slices of bread. Should have been served with a warm baguette, no explanation of why the sliced loaf bread was served. All tables were messy with crockery etc and customers were clearing thier own tables. A distinct... More
