A rather surreal experience. This Bank Holiday Monday a notice outside reading ‘Church Open’ enticed is to open two sets of doors and step into what looked like a church, had an altar in front of a rather improvised cross, but was otherwise apart from...More

No longer loved as a Church, this is an attractive / quirky building, with a fine roof and good acoustics. USed as an arts venue and auction house among other activities.

I have always missed this hidden gem in the past & was pleased to find it open today. Well worth a visit & why not combine it with St Peter's church which is nearby?

At first glance, not much to see, but read up on the history in the helpful leaflet and it will bring the history of the church to life. No longer in use, it is now used for art and performance events and is cared for...More

Just a shell with little inside it, felt very unloved and soul less. It did not have the feeling of a church inside just a shell.

Sandwich has many churches in this mediveal village, some were very much in danger of being pulled down in the 50's. However many have been reprieved due to the ingenious ideas of the villagers. They now use these churches for other events such as concerts,...More
