After being told about Standard Quay by a local shop keeper we decided to give it a look. A great little place. Great little tea rooms, shabby chic shop and antique shops. All that is needed is to advertise this place better to help the owners get a lot more trade. Even the towns signs stop in the town centre... More

On arrival at the Quay it looks quaint and interesting - stroll past the barges many dating back to the turn of the last century and enjoy drinks and snacks at the wine bar or pleasant Pomegranate café (though the 'garden centre' is not great). The other quay buildings have been converted into rather over-priced 'shabby chic' antique shops that... More

We visited Standard Quay in Faversham on the recommendation of a friend and found it to be a charming place for a Sunday afternoon visit. There is a free (limited stay), car parking on the quay for visitors and the area can also be reached from the mainline railway station though this would be a fair walk. The area is... More

ok to spend an hour or so. Best combined with walk through quaint faversham town and suare. In this way you could spend a day. The qay has a few quaint shops an a small cafe in the small garden centre.

Great location with good views across the creek...however what a load of rubbish on sale..."shabby chic" it isn't....tat that can be bought in a charity shop! Garden centre looked like a storm had hit overnight and the coffee shop not great...staff stand around chatting..you have to wait for a menu...why not put them on the tables? Coffee good but cakes... A fantastic place with houses dating back to the early 1500's. Lots of alleyways throughout the town, all with a character of their own. All the buildings seem to tell a story and transfer you back to times of the past. The boats on the water are lovely, the Shepherd Neame Brewery is an exciting visit. The market is great,... More

Standard Quay is a lovely small picturesque place with some lovely little shops to browse in. There is also a lovely coffee shop called the Pomegrante Tree along with several pubs and restaurants nearby. There are boats moored with explanations displayed about their history. It was quiet today. I have not visited at the weekend or in the Summer when... More

I'm a sucker for anything remotely maritime and so followed my nose along to the quay. The tide was out and the mud wasn't exactly picturesque but there was some characterful stuff down there, including one of the Dunkirk boats. Molly collie enjoyed a wet walk along the creek. The boatyard and moorings are workaday rather than chi-chi, which made... More
