Unable to appreciate this historic building as it was never open during our visit and the information board was so weathered it was not possible to read Neglected historical site - shame as it is a major part of our history

This is an interesting visit and my son who loves history enjoyed it a lot. Great sea views from the roof.

If you can get inside, it's an interesting visit with great sea views from the top. But it's not open very often so definitely check the website or call first to avoid disappointment.

Unique military defence building. Built to keep out Napoleon. Still has it's original cannon. Definitely worth a look, but don't expect to stay long as there isn't much to see!
