The beach offers a long run of pebbles which shelves very steeply into the water when the tide is in. Not really a great bathing beach. There are, however, working fishing boats at the castle end which give it a nice feel.

The beach is stony with a dip down to the sea, runs for miles and not much of a tide. There are lots of pubs, bars, tea room and restaurants along the seafront.

My wife and I visited on a Saturday in August. The weather was excellent and the sea was like a mill pond. Although the bars/restaurants/hotels along the front were all busy, the beach was surprisingly quiet. It's a shingle/pebble beach and spotlessly clean. In places...More

The shops and restaurants along the seafront are top notch, and there is a pier you can fish on. Renting poles is only a tenner so will not break the bank. Its a rock beach so bring your water shoes.

Deal town beach is a treasure. Off the beaten track and lost in time. Steep shingle banks and deep water at all tides. Working boat operations and fresh fish sales Angling very popular on the beach Strong current sweeps left and right.

This beach is very nice. However it's not a sandy beach but a rocky one so it's not as comfortable. It is great fun to throw the rocks into the sea ;) Perfect for a chill during the summer but beware of the strong winds!

Yes, dogs are permitted on the beach, as long as they're kept on a lead, and the owner clears up any mess.
