Concrete pier

Not as quant as metal piers this one is long and concrete. Not much on it really and not in the same league as a metal one

The pier is a good place to get views of deal coastline and white cliffs, on the day I visited there were quite a few people fishing, as it was a nice day, there is a café at the end of the pier offering hot food drinks and bar,

Yes you can walk out and get views from a distance back at town or simply watch the water, but there's nothing out there! No place for a coffee nor a place to shelter from the frequent winds. Fun for kids

Nice to see a well used pier by local fisherman and tourists. Not aesthetically pleasing to some but like the way the new cafe/restaurant is in keeping with its surroundings.

Fantastic view of Deal sea-front from the end of the brutalist concrete pier. Anywhere else, the pier would be ugly, but here it's just a wonderful mid-century contrast to Georgian Deal. The cafe is an amazing location and a wonderful timber vaulted building. What a shame the food lets it down. My beans on toast a disappointment - and really,... More

This Pier is unusual in that it is concrete. The promenade out gives one a feeling of the power of the sea. The fishermen seem to enjoy it

A good place to stretch you legs for free and see the whole of Deal sea front It's popular with local fisherman There's a cafe at the end of the pier and seats down the side of the pier where you can eat your chips

It's a pier but don't expect carnival rides or penny arcades. A concrete structure with no fancy adornment. There is a restaurant at the end of the pier, which was busy. The pier is manly used for rod sea fishing. Just a pleasant way to view Deal from "out at sea"

We had a lovely lunch in the cafe at the end of the pier looking out to sea. The food was cooked to order and was very hot. Will be back.
